I understand your position.
I just came by to see what was new.
I don't have many posts, but I visit and read frequently. Another thing to keep in mind regarding these boards is that one person can create more than one account. All they need is a different email address. There are a number of ways to be anonymous.
Just keep it positive fans, be patient, and let the chips fall where they may. And remember that these young people have to consider academics as well, not just facilities and coaches. Randle is a true student-athlete so more is going into his decision.
Gotta get back to the NFL playoff game.
All the best going forward for LSU, the fans, and the great state of Louisiana (which I left because of a better opportunity and fit (for me) presented itself. And I didn't have to explain to those I left in the state why I was leaving. They were true, genuine people that just gave me their support and blessings as some of you in here have extended to Randle.)

I just dont see why people(grown men) cannot be happy for an 18 year old kid, regardless where he goes
I really don't think it's that
I think it is more being mad at Les Miles and staff for losing him, although many might flame against Randle which they should not. He's an 18yo kid doing what he and his family feel bes for him.
He has said that he will strongly consider the team that recruits him most and presents to him the best and most comfortable situation, so if Saban accomplishes that then I do believe that Miles and Co. should be ashamed of themselves
just my opinion... it will be the start of things if Miles lets Saban come in to La. and beat him out fair and square for the state's best player

If Randle doesn't come here, fine. Let the kid go in peace. 1)He doesnt owe LSU anything. 2)LSU doesn't not "own" him because he is from LA. I just dont see why people(grown men) cannot be happy for an 18 year old kid, regardless where he goes.
I agree to an extent.
But, if Randle ends up choosing an LSU rival, it's reasonable to expect that he'll be treated like a rival.
There is a big difference between Alabama and Oklahoma IMO.

Still a dumb way to look at it.

sure.
but bashing him because he didnt pick LSU, and bashing him because he know plays for Bama is 2 different things.
I'd expect more of the 1st if he doesn't choose LSU.

While it is impossible to prove, I think the reaction to Randle choosing Bama would be MUCH different than the reaction to him choosing Oklahoma.

well, maybe not in McKnight's case when he never cared about LSU at all
but Randle is not a Bama fan, he is interested in them for several reasons, but one major reason he has been quoted for saying is because of how much love Saban has shown him... he says Bama has recruited him the hardest and best
..so on that accord, if Miles and Co. lose the top in-state player because Saban was able to out-recruit LSU and show Randle more love then that is on the coaches IMO.. that is clearly failure on Miles' behalf IMO

i don't understand why everyone is freaking out, the article basically says nothing. let the kid take his time and make the best decision for him and then if you're not happy go on whatever little rants that you feel are necessary. i really don't see the need to bash anyone at this point

it's not about showing "more love".
it's about Randle picking the school that he thinks best fits him.
i wouldn't blame Miles for losing Randle if he chooses another school.

who is Randle a fan of? I've never seen him comment on this.

I don't think highly rated players taking their time with a decision is all that unusual. In the last couple of years I can think of a few LSU players who waited until very late in the process to commit: Chad Jones (signing day), Chase Clement (whose brother played for Saban), and Chris Toliver. RR is not on any of our time table, so it's not for any of us to demand his timetable be the same as ours. To say something along the lines of "if he's going to commit to xxxx, the do it now" is absolutely childish. How many decisions (professional or otherwise) do we all have to make at the deadline for no other reason except that we can, although we are pretty sure what we are going to decide.
These threads are ridiculous and serve no positive purpose...and I'm an idiot for continuing to read them all.

I've seen him throw up The U and his brother obviously likes Miami, but I don't know if Reuben really has a favorite. I don't think he grew up liking LSU or Bama... that's the point

Get mad at Miles because a kid wants to play elsewhere? That's even dumber that getting mad at the kid.
And let me tell you, Sabin can come in here EVERY year and take the #1 recruit and I won't care a lick if LSU is bringing in a top 3 class each year. Miles will be at LSU well after Sabin leaves Bama.

because these people are idiots and they want to twist every little meaningless statement into something that convinces them he's gone.

Sorry...I lost focus for a minute.
Randle will go to LSU just like Julio went to BAMA. Their recruitment is almost identical.

good point. But losing the truly elite players is a tought pill to swallow - especially when they go to Bama because Saban worked harder and did a better job to get them like this recruitment suggests
It is just like losing to Bama in a game... when you get outworked and outcoached it stings
