You don't think over 20 minutes of just his junior season is enough?

I was thinking that it was the longest highlight film I think I have ever seen.

This is better than being left at the end with only one RB. Seems like they learned a hard lesson last cycle.

DC, I'm not only referring to you but all the different posters critical comments on this guy. His quickness, vision and speed are very, very good...
His vision is definitely 5*, accelerates out of cuts pretty well too.

But one can't help but notice his vision + instincts/anticipation.

Actually Clemsons classes almost always have more 3* players than LSU. Their classes look very similar to ours last year. It's only very recently that they've started landing highly rated DLman and QBs. They also get good WRs. Their classes aren't even as talented as LSUs top to bottom.

People just don't get it man. If a staff does its job of evaluating then that 3* player will more than likely be a solid player for that team. Same with 4* and 5*. What people don't understand is that LSU doesn't have a team full of 3* players. We will have a good mix of 5* and 4* to go with them. That makes all the difference in the world. Get a good QB, an OL to block, a DL/LBs to stop the run and LSU will be perfectly fine with the rest of the skill players who we have eventuated.

These aren't scrub players. My goodness people freak out before the final say is done. These kids still have time to move up in the ranks as well as prove to be on par or subpar SEC material. Stop acting as though the LSU staff isn't getting it done, bc we are clowns.

Just watch the play on the field and how this staff develops the talent they bring in before you bitch like a little girl.

Tell that to the rant. In the meantime, I still hold out hope that the coaching staff will land another top RB in this class. Davis should be top 5-10 before it’s all said and done.

Like what Bilj said on the previous page, it's a HIGHLIGHT film, it's supposed to make him look good. If not, someone isn't doing it right

No you're doing it wrong bc this wouldn't explain how he got 14 ypc. You can't make that up, it's a stat that is very good. So basically that average means on every carry he produces 14 yards. So even if that's cut down to half in college, with a better OL, he would be plenty good enough as is without development.

You add a S&C program to his game so that he now breaks tackles when running, add a spin move, stiff arm and this kid is now a 5* back with the OL LSU has coming. Then add to the fact that Parrish already has chemistry with the guy and you may have a real dynamic backfield and change of pace back with him and Davis.

I guess some people just can't see very far in front of them when their minds are completely closed, due to the fact that they "know" that this staff as a whole is incompetent. When your mind is already made up, your not going to see much coming.

I do see a huge weakness with this guy and that's his strength. I'm sure it's also what others see but he has everything else you would want. I'm not sure how smart he is in the classroom but if he's dedicated there then very good chance that the young man will develop that strength and become a problem for our opponents. I'll give the benefit of doubt to our staff who knows much more than I do behind the scenes.

Does anyone know if he did a lot of camps. Maybe that’s why he is rated as low as he is. I know I really didn’t hear anything about him till after Parrish committed

He still has his senior season. Lots of kids blow up their senior season. He’s a 16 yr old kid. Jesus

I haven't seen or heard his name many times so I doubt he's been out there in front of everyone.

I think he needs to come to LSU and perform in front of our coaches which he may have already and if he has then I'm perfectly fine with what they decide to do with this RB. If you can imagine him bouncing off of defenders or running over a couple with his running style then you can see that he would be a very good RB at LSU.

You can also see if he has a strong stiff arm and spin move added to his style that it would make him even better. He has the speed, he's shifty and has some better than average vision. Put him in our S&C program and he starts hitting people and breaking tackles then he would be very tough. GT

Awwww poor baby. Get over it. Funny how you fricks think we deserve a better head coach and he’s below LSU standards but fans on a damn message board can’t say anything about the inability to land a top RB over the last few years.

Not mutually exclusive.

I, do believe we need a better coach. I dont fault O for going after his dream job, but I do fault Alleva for giving it to him unearned.

I do believe the staff failed last year by falling short in recruiting top shelf RBs to restock. I do wish we were landing Emery, but I do not think it is just a staff issue this year with him.

I said a few months ago that I liked Spiveys film better than Cain, and that Cain is vastly over rated. Many on this board agree with me, especially those of us who have been around awhile and enjoy watching film. Specifically, many who have actually taken the time to watch the highlights of both Spivey and Cain agree that Cain is overrated, and Spiveys film looks better in a vacuum. Those of us who feel this way are excited at this development.

Though we would rather Emery in a perfect world, we prefer Spivey over Cain. Even so, it is smart to offer and pursue more prospects than slots so there are contingencies in case something falls through as you dont want to be left with your dick in your hand.

You are clearly out of bounds here, so shut your arse up and let the grown ups talk!

Then why doesnt Cains film look good? Have you watched both? I dont think you guys realize how many great prospects fall through the cracks, and how often it occurs.

Ill gladly ban myself if Spivey doesnt have a better career including NFL than Cain. Care to make the wager, or just want to keep talking out of your arse?

Keep talking out of your arse, probably smells better than talking out of your mouth anyway, mouth breather...
