Sage was overrated in high school because he played and dominated 1A ball. If he went to a 5A school he is probably a high 3 star or low 4 star. He was always the best athlete on the field in HS.

Absolute BS. Like a lot of 5-stars, he easily could have been a 4-star. But he was going to be a high 4-star. He played for a 1A school that played several larger schools including Acadiana. I watched him play from his 8th-grade year until he graduated. He showed out at every camp he went to. He seemed to lose something when he had that hamstring injury

You people downplaying stars are fricking DUMBASSES. Complete dumbasses. They matter. They may not be the be all end all, but there’s a reason why the same teams are always there at the end of the year and it’s not because some plucky 2 stars got them there mostly.

Quit with this narrative! Coleman himself said that LSU tried to get him out of high school and in the transfer portal. He didn't want to stay in state. You can't always get every La kid, because some of them want to leave
