I don't think you can definitely say he can't be a Friday guy at LSU. Hurd has better stuff and more upside when watching the 2 pitch, but Holman was pitching for Team USA for a reason. 10K in 5IP against a Japan team that was compared to a team that would have made a run in the college world series not all that bad.

I think Hurd ends up the Friday guy but Holman will be right there with him competing for that Friday role. If he chooses LSU of course.

Holman is a fine Friday guy. He was one of the best starting pitchers in the SEC last year. But he's a damn near elite Saturday guy.

I agree. He has a good pitch mix, good stamina, and throws strikes. He somewhat reminds me of Matty Ott but with a bit more arm talent.

I hate to give it to them but that Alabama rotation could’ve been elite last year if Hess and Hitt didn’t both go down. Holman would’ve been their Sunday starter
