Adam Taylor and Noel Ellis

I understand it's a numbers game but I think we are really gonna regret not offering these guys. Especially considering that they both wanted to be Tigers. There's no guarantee that we're gonna land LF so why not take Taylor as an insurance policy? Ellis is just a hell of a corner. Point blank period. You can never have too many shutdown corners IMO.

It's true. I don't understand it either. Had to be a tuff decision.

:beatdeadhorse: but i agree

Who would you cut from our current commits to fit those two in? Keep in mind that we will be in dire need for DT, DE, and TE.

Coaches have been consistently right on instate talent evals. Taylor is good, but not any better than any 3 guys we could get every year. Ellis may be great, but he isn't at a position as important as most others in the class. I wouldn't drop anyone we have for either unless grades force someone out. If we miss on Wills and Beckwith I could see Ellis being a take, but the bad blood has precluded that.

Yeah, I think the all-in for Fournette is a silly plan, but I guess the coaches feel it worth it. I hope Ricky Jefferson is better than Ellis, cause I think Robinson and White are better prospects than Ellis, on the edges. Both have length a more speed, but Ellis could be a really good Nickel/corner. I hope RJ is everything they think he is to pass on Ellis...

Is it water under the bridge or would we still have a shot at Ellis Island if Willis doesnt come?

Stokes and Malone
We are losing 3 TE's leaving only 2 on scholarship. Stokes will be a blocking TE while Desean Smith becomes a receiving TE. Malone is our lone OC recruit. We are losing 2 OC's.

I've read that they expect Stokes to contribute immediately in 2013.

Taylor I agree with if we lose Ware and Ford. Not good to have just 3 backs IMO, especially when 2/3 can declare after next year.

Well I hope so, otherwise it's generally dumb to get a JUCO kid. But he's nothing more than a blocking TE which we have a bundle of already.

What constitutes a bundle? Freshman Dillon Gordon is the only blocking TE returning.

Is Jacobs off the team? Haven't seen that confirmed. And Dickson is a better blocker than pass catcher, despite being "small". That's at least 2, maybe 3 with Jacobs, returning blocking TEs.

We still have Hill, Blue, Hilliard, and Magee may return to RB if needed. I won't be surprised if the staff pulls 3 RB's in the next class.

Not enough IMO. 1 bad injury to Blue/Hill and we could be left with 1 good back. Hilliard took such a big step back this year from his freshman year.

Magee
Considering he got moved from RB, doesn't bode well. I dont want him to move back just because he would have to, we should go out and get another actual RB.

So in 2014 we could very well have 3 freshmen and 1 junior at RB? Doesn't sound good.

I don't think ti si all in for Fournette... I think they take at least two RBs next year.. if not more

Jacobs is looking less and less likely due to academics. I don't consider Dickson a blocking TE. I'm expecting Clement, Edwards, and Jacobs not to be on the roster next season. This season has shown that we don't want to be short on pocket protection.

I have no concerns with the staff's development of RB's to play early. I am more concerned with protecting Mettenberger.
