I never said it was "SOLELY" the reason. I'm sure there were other factors involved, and Grannys b-day was close enough to NSD, that they just decided to "officially" announce then.

As said above, this was decided by the school, not Burch... and it was for 5 kids, not just Burch.

FWIW, that’s what I did at my signing ceremony. I had already signed the real papers and faxed them in, so I just signed a fake one at the ceremony.

It was like my friend in high school who followed his girlfriend to college instead of going to Dartmouth in the Ivy League...everything turned out ok for him (except she dumped him the week before school started) but sometimes we talk about what would have happened if he had listened to his Mom and gone to an Ivy instead???
