How does Marshall compare to these former LSU players coming out of Hs?
Terrance Toliver?
Odel Beckham Jr?
Jarvis Landry?
Rueban Randle?
Malachi Dupree?
Tyron Johnson?

Ruben Randle is probably the best comparison.

He's not coming here. I just don't see it.

“As I said to a poster yesterday, assume it is LSU (which it most likely is) and be very pleasantly surprised if it is A&M. My Crystal Ball pick is still on the Tigers and I think it will be correct.
11:45 am update: I just heard from a very good source and feel confident now in saying it is definitely LSU.”

Where can we watch his announcement at?

A mix between randle and toliver coming out of hs. At the point of being seniors in hs coming out, I’d say Landry and Randle were better. With a little development he is going to be special.

I would say you're wrong...he is the #1 WR in the nation for a reason. It's not like he is some project.
I think he's what we wanted in Malachi. Great size but more polished.

Randle was the #1 WR in the nation and No. 2 overall player. If I recall, Landry was the top WR in the nation also.

I meant in terms of him needing more development. Every HS player should improve at the next level, but he's not some raw prospect.

None of those guys. Think Dez Bryant (ON THE FIELD!!)

I realize my opinion doesn't mean much, but I will give it seeing that people are interested in making comparisons.
I mentioned that Marshall is the best receiver I have ever seen at the high school level and I saw Rueben Randle play over 8 times in high school from the time he was a sophomore to senior (played QB that year). I also saw Landry play twice while at Lutcher.
I thought Landry was better than Randle in terms of physicality and catching short to intermediate passes. His route running was exceptional and was very physical both blocking and bearing jams.
Randle was pure finesse and reminded me of a deer when he ran across the field--seemed like he glided and it was too easy. His athleticism was better than Landry along with his measurements. He wasn't as polished of a receiver and was not as physical. But, his athleticism was better than everyone else's and it was apparent.
Marshall is both of those two in one as another poster mentioned. He was not very physical early in his high school career leading to his senior year, but watching him in spring and summer he worked on that aspect and became complete. He wasn't getting jammed and was blocking exceptionally well also.
He is the quintessential receiver. Made for the position and will start from day one and be the best receiver on the roster at any school he attends. If he stays healthy and continues to be coachable I see no reason for him to not be a first round pick one day.
Hopefully our offense affords him that chance and with Brennan I believe it will indeed. Can't wait to see him in purple and gold.

It’s not a knock on him and I didn’t say he was a project. Randle and Landry were both top receivers coming out too. Randle and Landry were better coming out of hs, they were great players and Marshall is too.

Dez in his last year at ok state? I'm gonna have to say slam on the brakes on that one.
