5* WR Rakim Jarret (#2 WR in the nation)

Announced that he will take his first OV to LSU in a couple weeks.
I’ve talked to this kid before and I never thought we had a legit shot, until now. He had his mind made up a couple weeks ago and was a Tennessee lean and was also ready to commit, but now it seems like he’s taking things a bit slower.
Rakim, Burton, Boutte, and Koy Moore would be freaking crazy.
He also dropped an updated top 5 of USC, Tennessee, LSU, Ohio state, and Washington. Deleted within an hour of posting though.

Moore will not be in this class if Burton and Jarret commit. Too many other positions need to be filled when you have 3 top 10 receivers committed.

You still take Moore if he want in regardless! A real player doesn’t care who’s committed. It only bring out the best in them. So, if he still want in I would let him in because I know he’s coming with a competitive mind frame!

NO doubt. Big time skill guys are great, but to be he program we all want we have to bring in same caliber on OL/DL. Need a stud OT or two.

Yes indeed... I don’t think big named DLman will be hard to get here consistently but getting those top 5 or so OTs are extremely hard for what ever reason.
We have to go after them though. We’ll catch them if we keep at it and just keep improving at that position and on the offense in general. Same with the other big time positions. Look at LB now. It’s almost becoming a DB type of position where we get we we want there. Of course there are probably others we miss on or they just aren’t interested in us but we are getting top 10 players and we’re in the running for the top 3. It’s a process man. You can’t just say yea we are the best team for you trust us.
The trust factor happens over time of proving yourself on the field for these guys. Like O said though, “We Comin” and I truly believe that.

Something about the Jarret reminds me of Jarvis Landry. He looks a little bigger, but similar frames and movements.

This is a kid who LOVES playing the game. One thing he has said to OSU insiders in the past is that his mom needs to approve of a school before he commits. I do not believe his mother has been anywhere with him as of yet.
That would be a good sign for LSU (or anyone on his list) if his mom accompanies him

That was surprisingly a well done interview. Went in depth with all the schools. He seems not to be too fond of OSU as of now.
