I agree wth this. A great close to the season by him and he will have elevated himself very nicely.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound smug when I said that. Didn't notice. But we can agree to disagree. I think Toliver is one of the best athletes we've had at corner in a while. Dudes 6'1"/6'2" like 215-220 and is physical. Dude is impressive.

raymond puts more DBs in the NFL than anyone.. not sure i agree with the kid there.. raymond ought to throw some knowledge at his arse real quick..

Right. He definitely said LSU would develop him better as a defensive back but he felt Ohio State would develop him better as a player. I don't have a clue what distinction he's making there, unless OSU is giving him a chance on offense/special teams.

I don't see LSU landing both Surtain and Cook.

Not impossible but unlikely.

Just can't miss out on both.

We need both. Will be disappointing to lose a blue chip CB to Texas

I wouldn’t say that if Cook...a Texas kid...goes to Texas...that we “lost” him.

At least he’s making the decision early instead of a NSD announcement. If we don’t get him, it’s on to the next one.

In Raymond we trust.

Horns fans just want offensive lineman. They’re trying to rebuild DBU though.

Texas fans need to realize they haven’t been DBU for 10+ years.

The only DB they have in the NFL worth two shits is Earl Thomas, and even he’s on tDecline.

Whether Texas lands Cook or not, they’re far away from reclaiming DBU.

I love the downvotes. Texas has a sick DB class right now. Getting Cook would be a great addition to this class. The more kids from Houston the better. LSU needs to step their graphics for prospects.

The fact is recently Ohio state is competing for Championship and LSU isn't. He knows the schools are 1A-1B with putting dbs into the pros "recently" and if he goes up North he has a chance to win a title. That is the difference maker.

Yeah they do and a lot of those kids seem determined to go there no matter what. I think they lose to Baylor this weekend, their QB situation is bad.

Step up their graphics? What, like Tennessee? Should we get some stupid slogan like Aggy? LSU does just fine on social media, Cook just happens to have 2 teammates already committed. Texas is getting some highly ranked DBs, okay. Will they get developed? Recent history says, probably not.

The Big12 offenses present a problem for defensive recruits to showcase their talent for the NFL. In fact, the air raid/hurry up offenses really harm the offensive players as well.

Programs like LSU, Alabama, Florida, UGA, etc. preach to the high profile recruits that they will play in systems and against offenses that translate to the NFL, thus improving their draft stock.

The SEC almost had as many first round picks as the entire Big12 had drafted.

Like Ed O told Cook, the proof is in the pudding

I have no idea what Captain Crown was trying to say, but I have to believe that was an autocorrect issue or something.

Well that's dumb. I don't usually find his posts dumb. So I was giving him the benefit of the doubt.

For the people saying we really only need one of the 2 with cook and Surtain. Texas has 2 highly ranked safeties and 2 highly ranked CB already and If they add cook their defensive haul will be sick. We need surtain and cook.
