So is this thread about a guy visiting? Or people bitching at each other? Just wanna know what kind of energy to bring in my post TIA
Posted on 5/5/18 at 10:46 pm to TigerOne
He would be an idiot to go to bama.

Remember when this thread was about a recruit visiting this weekend? Those were the days.

I agree whitefoot I’m only wondering how the visit went

Hum, Mountain Brook. Maybe this negative stuff with Joiner isn't all Auburn. Different sport, yes, different school, yes, but recruiters will use anything to get an advantage.

If Macklin doesn't get hurt in that 1981 tourney, we win the championship. LSU was clearly the best team in the country that year.

Our basketball program is pretty damn solid historically with some serious names and a couple final fours. Kansas football is a complete bottom dweller.
This is a really bad comparison.

Please do. Except post it on the rant because the other posters are right in that this has nothing do do with recruiting anymore. Put a link to it in this thread and I'll go respond.

Team LSU, shhh your blowing up homeboy's narrative- he may have to actually open his eyes!

We probably would have had to have "Daddy Dale " on injured reserve as well to win it all. Just ask Bobby Knight.

Any word on if Watford actually did his visit? Good? Bad?

Suddenly this thread has been hijacked by a couple of dummies who want to argue LSU vs Kansas all time teams, instead of this recruit.

I never thought that the recruiting board would end up with as much discussion of KU as Bama.
Posted on 5/8/18 at 9:10 am to cheeser
Cheeser, you nailed it. Dale could do some great things with mediocre talent, but you also know how the Shaq, CJ, and Stanley team turned out. There was just something different about those 81 tigers though, and I think we win it with a healthy Rudy

This entire arguement started when your dumb arse mocked my assertion that LSU had a top 3 all time team, and how that is meaningless because it's only a few players, etc..
You went on to prove I was wrong about LSU being a top 10 program over a 15 year stretch, your research showed LSU was only top 15 ( yay you!).
The crux of this bs is your ignorance of LSU's recruiting history. There are 5 blue bloods that nobody else hangs with in recruiting: UNC, Duke, UCLA, Kentucky, and Kansas. LSU historically takes a backseat to NOBODY ELSE.
Mcdonalds AA has been around since the mid 70s.Here are LSU's: john williams CA (nat poy), ben simmons FL (nat poy), tito horford TX (signed, enrolled at LSU dismissed before playing), fess irvin, chris jackson MS, stanley roberts SC, shaq TX, jamie brandon IL, duane spencer, ronnie henderson, MS, randy livingston, lester earl, stromile swift, brandon bass, glen davis, tasmin mitchell, johnny o'bryant MS, jarrell martin, antonio blakeney, FL, naz reid NJ.
LSU has 20 mcd aa. Schools that I am POSITIVE you believe outrecruit LSU historically:
mich st 17, indiana 23, arizona 22, syracluse 18, nova 14, uconn 11. Nova and uconn have combined for 7 nattys during this period, and neither can hang with LSU's recruiting. You see, LSU's problem has never been lack of elite players, it's been underachieving with those players.
That's only 20 you say? The following were good enough to sign with most anybody out of hs: kenny higgs KY, rudy macklin KY, dewayne scales TX, howard carter, leonard mitchell, jerry reynolds NY, herman montenegro Argentina, maurice carter MS, ronald dupree MS, antonio hudson, juemichael young, jaime lloreda FL, regis koundjia NC, magnum rolle NC, anthony randolph TX, jordan mickey TX, elbert robinson, TX, craig victor, brandon sampson, and tremont waters CT.
I have left others off this list that probably could be on it, but trying to be objective, omitted: nikita wilson, ricky blanton, vernel singleton, clarence ceasar, jabari smith, torris bright, ralston turner, tim quarterman, and marcus thornton.
Because these players were before my time, I'm going out on a limb here and saying they where highly recruited due to them being TOP 5 NBA picks: bob petit, pistol pete NC, and joe dean IN.
I was responding to another poster about his concern Coach Wade might leave for greener pastures when your ignorant arse butted in. I'm pretty sure goeheim, calhoun, jay wright, izzo, and sean miller have gotten offers to leave over the years. As long as LSU pays Wade and supports his program, there is ample evidence around the country he can stay for many years. He sure as hell won't leave because it's hard to recruit ELITE players to BR.

I forgot to include 3 more in the rudy macklin/ tremont waters category: javonte smart, darrius days FL, and emmitt williams FL.
