The food here pulls a lot of these out of state kids to the boot. Can’t beat it.

High-valued LSU target Deuce Geralds set to commit
LSU has already assembled the top defensive line class in the country for this recruiting cycle
- Sonny Shipp

LSU has already assembled the top defensive line class in the country for this recruiting cycle. With four commitments in, LSU defensive line coaches Kevin Peoples and Kyle Williams are not resting on what they've done. One of the Tigers top uncommitted targets on that side of the ball plans to announce his decision soon and LSU is a strong contender.

Four-star DL Deuce Geralds intends to commit to one of his finalists on Saturday, August 2 at 2 p.m. CT. The nation's No. 12 defensive lineman on the industry-generated 247Sports Composite is set to decide between LSU, Oregon, Ole Miss, Ohio State and Michigan.

In the 6-foot-3, 270-pound range and out of Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia, offers from coast to coast came his way, but only his five finalists hosted him for an official visit. Ole Miss has some ties in its favor from his dad, Daverin Geralds, signing with the Rebels. LSU assistant coach Frank Wilson played a big hand in Ole Miss landing the Baton Rouge product out of Scotlandville Magnet when LSU didn't offer. Now, he's got a big hand in what's going on with his son.

A three-year starter with 35 games under his belt, per MaxPreps, Geralds logged 37.5 sacks, 90 QB hurries and 261 tackles – 77.5 behind the line. That played a big part in him landing in the Top 100 of the Composite at No. 95 overall and No. 11 overall in the talent-rich Peach State.

"When I commit, I want that to be where I'm going to sign. I don't want to be committing and jumping the gun on things, so I'm taking the patient approach," Geralds told 247Sports early in his recruitment… "I am looking at schools that can develop me not only as a player but as a man, too — I want to make sure the program will make me a better person on and off the field. I want to be comfortable there and I want to be in a great fit defensively."

Geralds is selected this year to play in the Polynesian Bowl in January of 2026 and also play in this year's Under Armour All-American Game in December.
Seems Frank has this under his wing.
