I'm all for players stepping out on their own and not following in their father's footsteps.
But I agree with other posters. Verge should have been fired. Also he was involved in the coaching search.
If his own kids don't come to LSU, it's a bad look.
This is that time when you tell your son what to do.

Napier is definitely an upgrade in recruiting over Mullen, but it remains to be seen how he schemes in the SEC against the greatest coaches in college football. He doesn’t get ULM and Arkansas state on the schedule anymore.

I would want him to get HIM. This kid was better as a sophomore than his brother is now as a junior. Austin is the better of the 2 and it really isn’t close. That is a fact.

then maybe, just maybe all of the stuff thrown at Verge by the press was bs...because do any of you really think Tate and BOS would allow him (and Miriam and the tennis coaches) to stay if there was real proof of breaking laws etc.
And look I hope his kids come here, but they should both do what's best for them, plenty of HC coaches sons do not play for their won Dads, much less former players... Should Karl Malone's son have gone to La tech anymore than terry Robiskes son forced to got to LSU.
