I’m excited. I think Sullivan is gonna set the bar as to what we’ll be doing with our tight ends. The saints run a nasty tight end screen that I hope we can copy. And this kid seems super humble and willing to work.

Agreed. In my mind getting a TE with a commitable offer from Iowa is akin to getting an OLman with a commitable offer from Wisconsin.

This is personal to me having lived in Grand Junction for 4 years as I mentioned in another thread.
After watching Louisiana High School Football for the majority of my life, and to then watch games at the local municipal stadium (they all played at one stadium in town for 3 different schools) I was offended how poor the talent was. Our children are more blessed than those there...to say the least.
For this kid to garner a commitable offer from my home state shows how far they have come.
I'm sure some of my old work buddies up there are saying to themselves, "remember that LSU bum who was always taking LSU and Saints? They have invaded our neck of the woods now and stolen a player."
Their lack of talent isn't because a lack of love for the game of football. It is huge up there. Every bit as big as here (especially Pro football and USC).
Really shocked but verh happy to hear this commit. I hope it sticks. Will be one for the ages here in Red Stick. Can't think of a player ever committing from that town, ever.
