QB recruits are kinda irrelevant with the transfer portal. It is a year to year business now for QBs. It’s not a 3 year plan anymore

Some truth, but doesn't really affect recruiting QBs. You still recruit good HS QBs. You might have a slightly different take if we had held on to Underwood. The portal has,shown that a school needs to have the right combination of OC/QB coach and surrounding talent to keep good young QBs.
