This kid seems to be on our radar:
quote:

BRADY HART
6'5" | 185 LBS | PRO QB | 2026
COCOA
COCOA, FL
The four-star quarterback from Cocoa, Fla., put up major numbers last season throwing to Ohio State commit Jayvan Boggs and others with 3,759 passing yards and 41 touchdowns. Teams are now flocking to get more involved in his recruitment.

It still feels like the early stages for Hart but LSU is definitely a team standing out right now along with Notre Dame, which is involved with many of the top QBs in this class. Miami and Ole Miss are two others to watch but many more offers could be headed his way.

Here's another one:
quote:

DIA BELL
6'2" | 190 LBS | DUAL QB | 2026
AMERICAN HERITAGE
PLANTATION, FL
5.9
There is no official list yet for Bell but his father, Raja, played for more than a decade in the NBA so traveling around to programs has not been an issue. The Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage standout has seen a lot but that might make things tougher because a lot of programs are impressing him early on.

He could easily stay in the Southeast with LSU, Florida and Miami all very involved but Penn State and Notre Dame have to be high on the early list as well.

2026 seems like a tough year to pull a qb. That qb is more than likely sitting for 3 years.

Don’t be surprised if we sign a lower ranked QB with high upside in 2026 to follow Underwood. The highly ranked kids usually don’t want to follow the #1 QB nationally. If we are able to pull a top QB, kudos to Sloan and staff.

I say you take one and red shirt them. RS fresh year would be underwood’s junior year

In a perfect world, yes. But in today's NIL/transfer portal world, it's becoming less and less likely that a kid waits 3 years to start, especially at QB.

That sounds great, but convincing an elite QB to sit on the bench anywhere for multiple years in this age of college football is next to impossible.

Absolutely - with the 5 star qbs they seem to want at least 1 gap year between them. so they can be the backup as a true freshman and then play as a sophomore

You don't go after mediocre guys b/c you're scared the big will guys leave. You identify your targets and you go after all of them.

Meh I think the portal makes it easier for 5 stars to pile up at a school and transfer to another if they want

Forget this group kids have no patience these days it’s now or never meaning they won’t a guarantee start in year two or they walk and your left holding a empty bag . Underwood will be better much than Daniels’s was as a freshman .
