What’s it like living in Virginia? Why did you leave?

I left Louisiana in 2005 and lived in Chesterfield County, Virginia for 19 years until moving to Michigan a year ago. Personally I hated any area north of where I lived(South of Richmond) and I traveled all over Virginia for work and it just isn't the south I know. Very bland area along with the food.

Lol...cold? Dude I moved from Virginia after 19 years and didn't know what cold was until I moved to Michigan last year.

And still hunting Immanuel Iheanacho who they’re visiting this week.

Let’s see where Jackson Cantwell ends up. Could help LSU out if he goes to Oregon.

I lived in Virginia Beach for about 30 years and enjoyed it very much. Especially the offshore fishing in the canyons for marlin, tuna, sailfish, mahi, etc. I sold my businesses and retired in sunny Florida on the Gulf coast. I love it here. A little hot in Summer, but we almost always have nice breezes, and the other times are perfection.

Hopefully the fact that we just had 4 o-lineman drafted will impact his decision! Guy is an absolute beast.

What’s Virginia Beach like? Is there some good food around?

Can you get good live seafood like crawfish, shrimp, crabs, lobster, oysters, etc?

They do not know how to cook seafood in Virginia. It is much like Maryland...I much rather cook my own when I lived there. Chesapeake Bay oysters are excellent though.

cbree, good food but a bit less tasty than Louisiana. Everything there except for crawfish.

Getting this guy after Thomas, Curne and Miller last year would be very impressive. Gotta give it to big bad Brad, he's loading up the line with young talent

I concur. The king salt are the best raw oysters I have eaten.

A little west of Richmond. Between Richmond and Charlottesville really. I’ll take the “cold” here over the weeks of 100+ in LA. And the Richmond food scene isn’t terrible. We don’t eat out a ton, but have found some really good places.

OL recruiting has been very good the last couple years. I think adding Atkins to the staff is only going give our o line recruiting a boost. At first I was just excited to get a fresh set of eyes looking at our run schemes which is very badly needed, but it looks like he will also be a big help recruiting. Enjoy him while we have him

I didn’t even think about this. This is a great point.
Not just haven, any qb we get.

It looks like he is visiting LSU on the weekend of May 30th and cancelled his scheduled Bama visit.

Nevermind, I found it. This is pretty big news. Thought, being his first visit isn’t really the best position to be in. Hopefully we make a great impression and lock him down that weekend!

Him and Darius Gray in the same class would be incredible.
