So we can pretty comfortably say we have 20 recruits on board (knocks on wood desk). Who are the last 6? Hopefully Leigh is in that number

Do we get more than 26 spots next year due to a few players opting out and a few others leaving the team?

Added Wiggins. Bumping back down to 25 spots seems like Darren Evans will be joining eligible immediately towards 2020 class.

No, that is just considered normal attrition.

If we add Ryan, Smith, Thomas Jr., and Leigh we will be at 302.33 with our highest ranked class ever with only 22 spots filled. And just wait until 2022...

That's good because we are now going to need all the depth we can get and get these guys some chemistry building time. Future looks bright!

Yep, and now I am super thankful for this loaded D-line class. We need it bad.

Adding Ryan, Smith, and Leigh gets us to 21 commitments and 297.40 points on 247

And Brian Thomas Jr gets us to 22 at 302.33. Best class for LSU. First time we would be over 300. And still 3 spots left.

You should add Byrd to the "Buzz" recruits list

my dream scenario, given our current recruits would get a score of 314.
Finish with:
Korey Forman
Tristan Leigh
Maason Smith
Sage Ryan
Savion Byrd
Brian Thomas Jr.
Jardin Gilbert ( not the highest rated safety, but local )

Still too short on DB, and would like another OL. But short of losing some of the current DE commits, I just don't see the room. And I hate culling commits. We did that last year, and it hurt my heart.

Replace Gilbert with Wheaton (by some minor miracle) and you get over 319.

nah, I would rather a DB. Now if you want to put a 5* DB in there, I could go for that.
We have 5 or 6 good RB prospects in 2022, so I don't see the need for 2 this year especially when the Tigers are barely able to man a 2 deep in the defensive backfield (including nickel).

Does anyone know the story with Gilbert?

Guessing it's just them having other guys higher on the board.

I can tell you this, Bama's top 2 safties on their board are said to be Ryan and Gilbert. I found that to be interesting.

And McKinstry gets us to that same score.

If LSU closes like they and fans want then 6 out of the 7 highest rated recruits in the class have yet to commit.

That would be a close like never before and leave 1 more spot to fill or carry over if desired. I have some doubt LSU has the “resources” to close that many big fish. Going to be fun to watch it play out.

19. Leigh
20. Smith
21. Ryan
22. Thomas
23. Byrd
24. Foreman

So since we're taking the recent transfer DB from Nicholls State, are we taking only 25 now?
