He was around the 20th overall player and #1 ILB for his class about a month ago before they updated their rankings. Dude is very legit and would be an animal here.

Kid is huge and could contribute like Upshaw and Hightower did for Bama in ‘11. And not to get negative, but based on his tape (I know he’s young) he still needs a little development as far as speed and agility...

Another freakish athlete at LB. Hopefully Aranda and Busch all over this kid with how they will utilize him on defense and what they are going to do to maximize his talent and time at LSU.
If there is anybody we can trust for recruiting LB's it's Aranda, and Bill Busch can just out recruit the hell out of anybody.

I believe he transferred from Mesquite to the Dunc. On orangebloods they're saying he'll be moved to DL. I'm curious as to where Samples will plug him in at.

Fact: Levon Kirkland was a 275-280lb inside linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers for many years, and a very good one at that.
Nobody can say for sure this kid will be another Levon Kirkland, but the point is that even if he grows larger, it is a possibility he could still continue playing as an ILB.
