Nussmeier got a big bump, moved up over 100 spots. 247 had him as a 3-star.

LINK /

ETA: They have 5 WRs from Louisiana in their top 157, 6 in their top 247.

These rankings, especially this far out, are beyond worthless.

Why? He moved from the composite #11 pro QB to #7.

Wow, Hilton plummeted.

And they now have Caleb Williams ranked as the highest QB in the country.

He did but is also the 7th ranked QB in Texas yet many want to take him over the consensus top QB in the country before letting the recruitments play out. Also see Ty Thompson is ahead of him. Nuss is a good prospect but rationalizing taking him over Williams is just nuts.

The instate wr numbers are insane. Not sure what Maason Smith has to show to be a 5*.

So do they just not update the ratings? He's still second based on that

Composite hasn't been updated. He's 1 on Rivals and 247 so he will be #1.

Those are the composite rankings.

247's ratings have him 6th nationally and the #1 overall QB.

It's settled. LSU has to do everything they can to get Caleb Williams.

Maybe like the Nuss fans, once the experts see his accuracy, which I was told is much better than CW, Nuss will move up another 130 spots and overtake him.
STILL WANT CALEB WILLIAMS

I was surprised they had Hilton that high anyway. I don't think he lacks 5* ability but his size is an issue despite him not playing like a small player.

2+6= 8

There is no signing day in August. It’s 10 months before the earliest signing day. These kids haven’t gone through the summer camp circuit, and they haven’t played any of their senior season.

If both are okay with playing with each other you take both. If not, Caleb has more talent and it's obvious. NCAA is about mobile QBs now as is the NFL. Caleb is not only mobile he has great running ability plus he can fire missiles off his back foot and on the run. It isn't like his accuracy is bad.

If they only ended up with Nuss I think that's fine but Williams looks like a guy where the sky is the limit for him talent wise. Williams is a better fit for the type of offense we're running now and I'd imagine if he was here, LSU would be running way more RPOs.

Thing I like about Caleb on his film is even under pressure he keeps his eyes down the field. Where he just explodes with talent is his ability to tuck it and run if need be. Looks like he's a blazer. His accuracy looks great on his film even under pressure.

Lol UGA is getting the 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th best player in 2021.
Ridiculous how much money they put into recruiting. They have no nattys to show for it tho.

Williams has a much higher ceiling and his ability to beat you running is about as good as it gets for a QB. He has a cannon arm, but does need to work on accuracy. He completed 55.7% of his passes last season.

If Nuss adds more weight and continues to develop he will shoot up rankings before his SR season ends. If you watch his film he has the ability to navigate the pocket extremely well and he can avoid pressure and make throws while resetting his base. He's not going to be a big run threat, but he's quick enough to scramble and gain yards when needed.

If the coaches feel Williams will pop for LSU you absolutely take him. I just don't want us to stiff arm Nuss and get neither.
