Ricks is going to be a bonified shutdown corner, loves to play man to man from his footage, and he will get right up in receivers grills to challenge them.
He also is a ball hawk. Like a lot of the best DB's to ever play, the ball seems to just find him, and he knows what to do with it once he has it.
Teams are going to be petrified to throw against Stingley, Ricks, and Raydar. Absolutely frightening to think about the kind of talent that is going to be in our defensive backfield.

The way he plays off-man is incredible to watch. He really drives on the ball and shows great awareness. He's really advanced for his age, believe he was considered the top DB at The Opening this past summer.

Does anyone know the name of the other corner on his team? Watching his junior highlights, the guy on the opposite side normally plays up against the line and does a solid job. Wonder if he's a recruited guy because he looks talented as well

Darion Green-Warren. He is a 4 star who committed to Oklahoma last April, same class.
A lot of talent on that team. The soph backup QB Bryce Young is impressive as well.

This is exactly the type of impact we hired Ed Orgeron for. He has absolutely no business landing 5-star kids out of California. Yet here we are. Keep it up O.

He clocked a 4.68-40 at The Opening Finals last . This just doesn't sound right. He runs away from people in all his films. That is very slow for a corner.

I've seen that 40 time listed as well, but let's use some deductive reasoning here. Ricks is the #1 rated corner in the entire country for 2020, and a 4.68 40 time simply doesn't equate to the top rated corner in the country.
In the video footage of Ricks out there, he easily pulls away from everyone on his interceptions. The obvious conclusion has to be that his listed 40 time is total crap.
