His genetics are freakish. Whole family basically played football, and at a great level. His dad played at Cincinnati, now the defensive coordinator for Somerset, where his grandpa(Detmer) had been one of best coaches in Texas high school football during the last two decades. All of his uncles played football in college, on mom and dads side. Then you have the two Detmer's that were both great in college and had solid pro careers.

Koy Detmer was the lesser known of the Detmer boys but he was also a total baller at Colorado. I was a CU ticket holder at the time and he was really solid.

Yeah he was really good. Underrated. His nephew plays for CU now. The same nephew is Zadock's half brother
