Highly touted running back Dylan Moses lived up to his hype this past weekend during FBU Top Gun’s High School Camp in Dublin, OH. With a dozen scholarship offers from dominant BCS programs which include, Alabama, Florida State, Notre Dame, LSU, Florida, Ole Miss, UCLA, and Texas, it was no surprise the budding eighth grader made his presence known amongst the best high school talent the U.S. had to offer. The 6’1” 200 pound Moses will be starting this fall at running back and linebacker for University Lab High School in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He made waves across the southeast last summer when he received his first scholarship offer from hometown squad LSU, and then Alabama in January. Although he is not slated to graduate high school until 2017, Moses is already one of the most talked about and talented recruits coming out of the 2017 class. In fact the June issue of ESPN the magazine featured Moses on the cover donning his black and yellow University Lab uniform sporting a million dollar smile. In the article, Moses touches upon what it has been like being so young to garner such national attention. While his mother, Tomeka, hopes he will grow up and have normal teenage years, she knows deep down her son is something special.

During his time at Top Gun 2013, Moses showcased his talents at the running back position. His sub 4.5 speed and physical stature allowed Moses to make the high school defenders think twice about taking the incoming freshman lightly. With Tennessee bound safety Todd Kelly Jr., and highly recruited linebacker Cameron Townsend in the defensive backfield, Moses’ competitive nature and nose for the football made him seem anything but an athlete fresh out of middle school. By camp’s end on Saturday, Dublin Jerome High School was buzzing about the appearance and performance of Moses.

By the time the Top Gun Youth camp had begun, all that was asked by parents and athletes alike was about how Moses had performed during his time in Dublin. To both the high school and middle school athletes alike, Dylan serves as both a competitor and someone to strive to be like both on and off the field. His 4 AM workouts and sprints on Saturdays in the park with his father have finally reaped him benefits (a dozen BCS offers, with many more to come). During his interview with ESPN, the soft spoken Moses talked about his fame at such a young age saying, “I just let them bring it up so that it won't seem like I'm cocky. I barely talk, so it's kind of hard to be cocky." FBU looks forward to seeing Moses grow into not only a well rounded individual, but a household name in the football world for years to come.

That's great. Happy for you and Dylan. He deserves everything he gets, including a BCS national championship at LSU. He has worked his butt off to this point.

I've got to ask, what did you think when Frank and Les offered last year? Did you know they were even serious?

He's going to the Saints right out of high school? I knew it

Just picking. I will definitely enjoy watching him progress through his high school days. Uhigh is the place he needs to be.

Never in a million years did i imagine that they would offer him in the 8th grade. we were at the youth camp mind you. He had just finished his last year of youth football. Im thinking high school at this point not college. all of this has taken us by surprise

I just enrolled my daughter at BRHMS this morning.
We discussed the bus lanes and tutoring and such.
I was very proud.
