If Brossette is such a slam dunk, can't miss prospect, how come LSU hasn't offers him, but offered a kid two years behind him at the same school?
Not knocking him at all, just wondering.

I think Brosette is overrated, but he has an LSU offer.

It's tough to judge how good he is. He's not real fast, but he does have good feet, vision and is relentless. Being relentless against 2A teams not named Curtis makes him seem a little better, I think.

I think he has had an LSU offer for awhile.
I also think Kenny Hilliard is a pretty decent comparison. He's a big guy that just has incredibly nimble feet for his size. The only time I've seen him play was against Evangel and his talent was very evident. Before that I thought he was just a big slow bruiser type that was bullying a bunch of smaller 2A kids but what was surprising was how smooth he ran and how well he could slash it. He's a pretty talented dude IMMO

Then Evangel's defense must be fricking slow.

he is coming with a lot of power, speed, and football knowledge he may end up a more sought after recruit than Nick in the end...
Guice is on track to be a great player too. It's not about wht u can possibly do, its about what are you doing. Nick been took reign n has showed THT he can be the best in the class right now!!

Maybe so, I don't know, they didn't look too fast in the Dome.
Hilliard is a good comparison. The one time I saw him in person, what struck me the most was his feet. Very similar to Hilliard in that way, but maybe a little more elusive. Brosette gets every inch out of every carry, spinning, stiff arming, diving, etc.
I'M NOT KNOCKING HIM. Quit being defensive, he doesn't need you to take up for him.

Then every defense, 2A-5A, that he's played against since he started for the varsity as an eighth grader must be fricking slow. I can't think of a single time he was caught from behind, and he was faster than ever in 2012. Of course, I enjoy
watching the 2011 highlights more, watching my oldest help Garrett open those holes for Nick to run through.

Brosette has had an offer for over a year now.

Bowtie, I haven't been in the Cluckster's doghouse since I called Jamarcus McFarland's mother bad names on here for all the lies she told about her son's recruiting by LSU. I'm kinder and gentler now, although a few of the Select v Public LHSAA threads have threatened to drag me into the abyss again. I'm just trying to get through my youngest son's senior year next year, then I can take the gloves back off.

LOL!!! Thought you got zapped the other day.
Interested to see how the Select-Non-Select thing works out next year for y'all.

It's sure making scheduling somewhat questionable. And EHS curtly declined our offer to continue our rivalry and won't play us in a non-district football game. Guess they really ARE tired of having that arse beat! Lol
Now, if I can just get my son some snaps on the offensive side....it's only fair, after all Garrett gets to dabble on the DL at times.

13. Isaiah Washington, DE, Edna Karr, 6-4, 230

20. Stanley Morgan, WR, 5-11, 180, St. Augustine

Seen these kids last yr while in town and they all are legit...

I coached at EHS, not surprised. They are superior, you know! I agree, Garrett won't need all those snaps, lol... He should share!
So are you guys really going to have to play the Catholic's and Rummel's of the world in the playoffs?
Wait, U-High is public...shoot, I'm confused.

Yeah, we are kind of confused too. One thing I'm not confused about, I think with all our starters and several backups returning on the OL, Nick might go for 2000 yards this year. Just not sure who we will see across the line from us-Catholics or Protestants. Just know it won't be Episcopalians.
