Dante Exum, a 6-5 five-star guard who has played well for Australia at the FIBA U19 World Championships in the Czech Republic, told ZagsBlog that he is leaning toward attending a U.S. college instead of entering the 2014 NBA draft. LINK
If Exum, 17, goes to college, Indiana University is thought to be well-positioned to land him. Exum will finish school in Australia in December. He made an official visit to Bloomington in January.
He mentioned Louisville and Kentucky among other schools recruiting him.
Exum could also presumably enroll in college midseason of this year as a member of the 2013 class, or he could wait and go the traditional route of the Class of 2014 and play in the 2014-15 season.

@mattmccurdy: Just exchanged texts w/ 2014 sf Kelly Oubre. LSU not among his Top 10: Kansas, UCLA, G'town, Ariz, Uconn, UNC, Louisville, UK, Baylor, Fla

That's a nasty top 10 tho. Oh wells.

So we have now have no shot at victor or oubre....great

I do think we still have a chance with Victor. He's still mentioning LSU in all his interviews.
While a lot of the out of state guys are not falling to LSU, there's still one or two that LSU may go after and get.

Well this I did not see coming, well then onto the next one. We still have a shot at Victor, no Exum or no Oubre atleast you know this early and can focus in on others.
I was really hoping Victor and Oubre and tried to spin them both going to Findlay as only good

Victor hasn't gone out there yet. Once he gets out there, maybe he can sway Oubre to give LSU a look given the recent success in recruiting. LSU is still high on his list so I believe he will be recruiting to see who else he can get out there with him. Even though he's decided to go to Findley for his last season, which I completely understand why he made that decision, as it stands now with his current offers I believe LSU has just as good a shot as anyone else to sign him. I believe this could end up as a blessing in desguise for LSU. However, all of this is moot if Kentucky ends up offering him.

So right now the only guy that we can really feel good about is Reynolds. Correct?
Posted on 7/10/13 at 10:41 am to b rod lsu
Bubba just posted Reynolds is coming in for a visit. If you look at Reynolds stuff on the first page that I posted earlier anybody that wants to can know more. I really like him as a player and think he would be a great fit here. He plays on one of the best teams in the country and is a great teammate and distributor, what LSU needs, everyone cant shoot. But he can also score not just a passer.
Lastly, gives LSU inroads into the Chicago recruiting, and the start of a pipeline to one of the best programs nationally and historically.

he and his dad took an unofficial last year to a football game and loved it. i remember someone posting a link to his dad (who is an analyst on some business news show on cnbc or one of those channels) praising their visit to LSU.

Him and James Thompson. Both are good prospects.

I thought someone said Thompson didn't like the idea of bulking up and playing center for us?

There was an article where he said that, but he still has mentioned LSU very favorably in every article about him. I know Bubba thinks we have a good shot at him as well.
