The best chance we have is if he re-classifies himself as a 2015 recruit and foregoes the 2014 draft so that he has time to visit campus, become close to the players, coaches, atmosphere, etc. and be convinced that he'll be playing the same caliber of basketball with the same level of coaching in the SEC as he would in the Big Ten. That's a lot of things that need to happen, but there is a chance.

Can't see that helping LSU's cause. School is located in Nevada, right?

Yeah in Nevada.
Happened about a week ago.

Got them mixed up, noticed it after I posted

Findlay Prep isn't actually a school. They are a club team that takes classes at some school in LV or Henderson or some shite.
They were the model that guy in Delaware used to start his school in Maryland for his football team to play. The Sills guy whose kid is committed to USC.

That's why remembering schools for basketball is difficult to me it's extremely confusing.
Ah yes. I remember that.

I'm not sure what the transfer does for LSU chances
I can't imagine it helps.

That's what I was thinking, but maybe McCray has some west coast ties from his stint with UCLA? Even though I assume Shabbaz pull was a full staff effort. (For NV reasons)

UCLA hired a coach whose son played on Shabazz Muhammed's AAU team. That was their in with him. I don't remember where they hired him from though.
ETA: Phil Mathews was the coach, they hired him from Nebraska. He was the connection to Muhammed because he could go to games and practices other coaches couldn't because his son was on the same team.

I dont think it hurts us that much tbh. I think it may be harder to get him on campus but thats about it. Not as worried that its him because of the NOLA dynamicz

I agree. It may be more difficult to get the guy on campus for a visit, but I don't think it hurts us too much. The guy is a good player, and we already have some ties to him.

Craig Victor also going to Findlay. LSU has had two bad things go twice against them. :-(
Posted on 6/29/13 at 6:56 pm to oauron
Unless Victor convinces Oubre to come back home and play with him and Jarrell at LSU ;)
Posted on 6/29/13 at 8:11 pm to ezrulz
I know it won't be the biggest factor but LSU loses ability to get him for multiple unofficials and Victor is now playing with a Arizona commit and Zona lean.

still like our chances with oubre but victor...goodnight sweet prince. hopefully he waits till the spring to make his decision final and jarrell martin drags his nards all over the ncaa and we have a great year. LONG WAY TILL SIGNING DAY!
