I wouldn't say they are damn good recruiters they are decent it just seems that they are good with the likes of some other coaches on the staff.

Damn good recruiters at that position db are akina at texas and for dl the guy at FSU those are damn good recruiters.

I love our instate kids but I just haven't seen anything on film of Williams and White that would lead to them being offered over some of the others

How much film have you seen on them?

Admittedly none on White. Heard his name before but haven't seen anything on him or heard his name mentioned as a possible offer. I asked Sonny about him and he seems to like him so I'm waiting for some to come around. Haven't checked the Scout archive yet.

Williams I have seen and I think he's a good player but I do believe there are other kids at his position or projected at his position that are better. In particular Melvin Jones and Micheal Patterson.

Basically i just made a poor choice in my wording. No problems with the offers to these 2 kids. My questions and confusion is why not the others? The other kids are better prospects imo though at different positions. The guys in my earlier post are kids I think are just as or more worthy of offers than these 2. The kids that didn't make it in I understand but Claiborne,Melvin jones and Ronald Lewis should have been offered. All in all I just worded my previous post wrong and it should have said why weren't the other kids offered as well. Just my opinion and I don't know the plans that the coaches have laid out but I will tell you that no one had White and Williams on the offer watch list. That should tell you something. A lot of good talent evaluators think these kids were camp offer kids.

Wait until new film comes out. He is a stud and someone the staff sees often. Miles and Krags kids play with him. I say he ends up a 4* when it's said and done.

That is why we need a top notch recruiter to pair with Wilson. I wouldn't be against bringing Porter back or maybe Les can find a new guy. Every big time schools has multiple good recruiters on their staffs except us. This is why we are struggling mightily oos. Ensminger is a complete waste. I do not understand why he is on the staff but I dont think Les will ever get rid of him.

Why do you always complain about our recruiting? It has been excellent. The only school that can even argue that they have recruited better than us the last few years is Alabama and even that is not entirely true. Our talent level is supreme right now and our record the last couple of seasons is showing that. I know some other recruiting classes have been ranked higher than ours by rivals and scout but that means absoulutely nothing. You judge a recruiting class by looking at how the players perform on the field.

Yea 4 years later. Right now you judge a recruit by looking at the recruits other offers. I would say this is the best way to figure out how good a kid is 90% of the time.

Also, the first priority for the LSU coaching staff always needs to be signing the top talent from Louisiana. Just look at our team this year. Our secondary was full of studs and almost all of them were from Louisiana. All we need is the top Louisiana talent and then just a few good players from out of state to fill a few needs. I hate to see great LA players go out of state and become great for other schools.

Not necessarily. If a coach is smart, he and his staff can find diamonds in the rough that are not known on a national level. There is no use complaing about the people who get offers from our coaches. They have done an excellent job the last few years. They have earned the benefit of the doubt when it comes to recruiting.

Also, there is no reason to pass judgment on a recruiting class right now when we know almost nothing about the kids and we have not seen them play yet. It doesn't matter what everyone thinks of the class right now. That will make no difference when the players take the field for us.

Watching his film, this was my thought. Doesn't look like an elite WR, but probably will be a D/ back.

I am complaining because we are actually struggling recruiting and that is going to affect how we can sustain success.

Now we are starting to loose state kids to Nick.

I'm not surprised Williams got offered, apparently Alabama has said that he will get a scholarship there as well.

He's a much better prospect than some other 2013 guys we've offered.

False. You will know we are struggling in recruiting when we don't have much talent on our roster, and when we start losing a lot of games each year. We are not struggling in recruiting when we have 13-win seasons or when we are having top 10 recruiting classes each year, which is the case right now. We also are not struggling in recruiting when we have multiple All-American players on the team and multiple All-SEC players each year. So until these things are no longer true, we are not struggling with recruiting.

You idiot, u realize the current success is not due to the current recruiting class.

You won't know if we are struggling or doing well until a couple of years.

Imo we just need more recruiters on the staff.

Oh so now you're calling names? How mature. I'm just saying that you don't know how good this recruiting class is until these guys get to the field. For one thing, this class looks great and is ranked in the top 10 by most recruiting sites. For another thing, it doesn't matter what these sites say anyway. Our 2010 class was supposed to be a down class by LSU's standards according to the recruiting sites. Now, in hindsight, we know that that was a very good recruiting class. Therefore, there is no reason to criticize the current recruiting class, especially since it is ranked quite high by most recruiting experts.

Not necessarily. Think about it. We will have many players go high in the NFL draft over the next couple of years just as they will.We will also have many players drafted in later rounds. Also we beat them in 2010 and then we went 1-1 against them in 2011 and finished with a better record than them.

Due to Cooper being the best DB coach in the nation, not because they didn't outrecruit LSU.
