Jay Curtis lifts a towering blast to RF that barely clears the wall. 2-1 JC in B6
Wolves starter relieved after 5.0 and 80 pitches... damn fine pitching performance son 1 bad pitch left over the plate was the difference so far

Drama in Sulphur
Wolves lead-off the inning with a frozen rope to the Left - CF fence .. 0 outs
Next batter up bunts, flies out to pitcher .. 1 out
Next batter strikes out .. 2 outs
Next batter 4-3 ... 3 outs
Curtis wins the State Championship
Kudos to STP who played a helluva game and came up 1 run short (JC HR with pitch left over the plate)

I was at that game the other day, didn’t realize the STP starter was a freshman. Wow. He was really, really good. I walked over after our schools game ended because I knew about all the LSU commitments and wanted to put eyes on them. That Scherer kid looks like Kris Bryant at 3rd. I realize he signed as a pitcher, but man is he put together for a 17/18 year old kid.

Pretty impressed by the Curtis kids too. Ripoll was unflapple and Beloso reminds me of the Jordan twins...albeit a few inches taller. Pretty impressed with his speed seeing him steal bases.

Beloso (5'11" 220) definitely fits the image of a bigger Beau Jordan. After the JC/STP game, the LHSAA recognized about 20 graduating Seniors from all classifications statewide. They were awarded a plaque and named as a Scholar Athlete. Each kid had a 4.0 gpa their entire 4 years of high school. My nephew from JC was one of the recipients. He was also the only baseball player in the NO Catholic league district to graduate with a 4.0
