Full back, certainly. But most of the guys LSU has recruited the last couple years to play fullback have gone somewhere else to play defense. So I don't think that's ever going to be a one-for-one comparison.

Running back, unless A&M plays every game like they did the LSU game, RB anywhere is about a wash. Even ULL goes 4 deep with running backs and one of them can probably play in the NFL.

Tight end, I see it being a bigger part of our offense going forward, but neither A&M or LSU are putting up UGA or Mizzou like numbers for the TEs.

WR, we've got an NFL WR coach and an NFL OC. I wouldn't say that anyone has a decided advantage over LSU in what we can do for a WR.

No you havent. You've shite up every thread youve entered on this board.

Smoke Ring and tmc are the only regular ag posters on the LSURB that don't shite it up here. And I haven't seen Smoke Ring in a long time.

The critical point.

Indeed, neither LSU nor A&M hold what should be considered a decided advantage in this regard.

So the only reason anyone would pick A&M over LSU is if they are a once in a generation QB?

I mean what about Sunmlin's last year at U of H, where the top two receivers had 1752 yards and 1229 yards respectively? (Number 3 was 42 yards away from having 1,000 yards himself) Those top three receivers had 89, 87, and 96 catches respectively. What about the two years before that when he DID have three receivers go for 1,000+ yards?

You might honestly think that somehow having 2+ receivers going for 1,000+ is impressive, and somehow invalidates all other rationale that A&M utilizes WRs better, but having 3 do that would therefor be infinitely more impressive, and completely invalidate your logic...

It's not you, it's the other one. He did the exact same thing last night on the SECrb. Same, exact, spiel.

I'd rather say once in a millennium for more dramatic effect.

And it's really sort of mind boggling he's allowed to come in here to derail a thread when there is an entire board dedicated to people like him.

There are plenty of guys that have NFL experience, but certain systems utilize some positions more than others. LSU's system and offensive philosophy doesn't utilize WRs as much as A&M's does, regardless of the NFL experience on staff...

Ask guys like LaBornNRaised and Vermillion Tiger. I get along fine with Memphis over here, too.

I don't even recall having an issue with you.

I flame like everyone else on the Rant. But I'm aware of the rules over here and I don't break them.

Find a post proving otherwise.

It's not just about how much they're used, but how effectively. That's where the NFL experience comes in. LSU had two 1k yd WRs this year. I'd say they were used pretty effectively.

DWag is a good guy. He won't bow out and kiss LSUs arse, but he won't argue for the sake of arguing. Just look at the difference between him and the other a&m poster right now

And Sumlin has coached a team where 3 guys went for 1,000+, and a season where a guy went for 1,700+ and 1,200+. Is that not allowed to be used in evidence?

We've had a number of good conversations.

This board is a great resource when opposing fans allow it to be.
