If they don’t find a real impact guy in the portal now or after spring, I say roll it over to next year’s class which is loaded.

seems like LSU with only 79 or 80 scholarship players would take the best available this year for immediate help

They’ll probably see how things shake out after spring ball. Always some guys looking to transfer then. If no one there, they’ll roll it to 22.

We just added 2 amazing freshman. Sage Ryan is definitely a day 1 starter. Derrick Davis will push for some playing time as well. We should be fine.

We brought in the #1 and #2 safety in this year’s class. Those guys don’t sit a year. Worst case scenario Harris or Hampton will hold serve until they’re ready to go. Delpit and Adams came in and played almost immediately, I’d expect the same thing from Sage.

You definitely wait until the spring. Injuries, your own players entering portal and players from other teams entering portal. It's wise to be patient right now.

yes sir! with all the players who left for various reasons and also breaking in new qb's. I am surprised at such an awesome class. It also filled needs. Ashame we lost Davis. I think lb's is our weaker position. But if the young guys who signed last year matured physically we may be ok there as well.

Unless you have someone already lined up you can't pass on then you wait to see how spring shakes out.
IMO, there will be player movement across the nation after spring ball.
You would also know at that point if your own roster suffered a rash of injuries at a position and need to fill in with a transfer at a particular spot.
No brainer to me.
