Wife wants to know why I can't turn on the TV without power

Her reasoning is that I should be able to get a signal bc I bought an HD antenna before the storm.

Unfortunately, it's the God's honest truth. I just looked at her the way a puppy looks at something it doesn't understand and after a few seconds the light went off in her head (I think I heard it click). Then I just busted out laughing and she told me to frick off.

Sad thing is, she's pretty smart...there's just this common sense disconnect that I have to laugh at.

Same with my current girlfriend. The girl can ace med school and the bookwork shite, but I swear unless you put something into type and stick it in front of her face, the common sense will not catch/understand it.

I used to work with a guy that would give me that look (only he was the one on the short end of the thinkin' stick). We all started calling him "Blink" (cuz that puppy look always includes a head-cocked blink).
