Damn.. that is such a bummer about Friends. 2 of my good friends from high school worked there up until about last year. I loved the atmosphere in that place. I hope they will be able to bounce back soon.

got water chest deep all around the house here in covington near 4th street boat launch. have to take the pirogue in and out to higher grounds and have the boat floating in the front yard.

I'm sure the structure is fine by looking at those other buildings in the above picture. Probably flooded out.

I'm in Doubloon Bayou Estates. A few houses flooding in here. We'll try to take a ride through Quail Ridge before dark, but I would guess that only houses that flooded badly in Katrina are flooding now. If someone can explain how to post pics, I will.

When the water table gets up as high as it is - Those big old trees push over really easily. I think most of the heavy winds have passed so it won't be as much an issue unless there's a tornado.

FWIW - There were 4 tornadoes in QR during Katrina. 3 F1 and 1 F2+... really made a mess.
