take I-10 from Metairie to I-55 to Hammond...it's elevated the whole way, including where it veers off to I-55 at Laplace....you just can't exit at Laplace. From Hammond, take I-12 to Baton Rouge.
Unfortunately I have had experience with that after previous hurricanes.

TWC is showing radar that makes it seem like the storm is attempting to re-organizing. The dry air is attempting to deteriorate the storm, but it's breathing in a big stretch of moist air from the west that is filling in the southwest eye wall with more rain. Looks like BR will continue to get rain and wind gusts as long as it continues to move NW.

I am in south Livinston on the Diversion and we have had the rain and wind is still going strong fro the past 14 hours. I think we still have 30-40 mph winds outside right now and a river rising rapidly. I thought we would have seen everything lighten up by now but that has not happened.

Been being told that the worst would be here around midnight but looking at the radar I'd almost believe it will only get better from here

Longest I've lost power is 30 mins. I was w/out power for 2 weeks during Gustav! Everything is fine here, just can't believe we are getting this wind and rain 200 miles from the eye 2 days after it has passed us!
