I'm in no way a hurricane geek like 99% of the rest of TD. Didn't know if the wind intensity is as strong on the northern side as it is on the NE and East side

I don't think the conditions will get a whole lot worse, but the conditions will be present for hours on end. The amount of time the storm will affect BR will be what causes the damage, not the actual wind speeds.

Don't know what y'all are talking about in Houston. I just walked a block to Treebeards and it wasn't even breezy.

At some point today, yes. Idk if we will get the storm as bad as NOLA has gotten it (although the storm is moving our way), but literally 90% of New Orleans looks to be without power.

probably not.
it's the fact that Isaac is an a-hole and just wants to take a 3 day vacation in south louisiana.
i sware for about 12 hours he just decided to relax and get a few beers in Houma.
No one knows the results of 36-48 hours of tropical storm weather.

"I'm hanging out in my fricking car drinking beer and charging my phone while listening to wwl. This is way better than sitting in a hot fricking house."
I plan on doing this as well when the time comes.
