Well if I still have a roof I'll buy you a beer. I really don't expect to have one come Thursday

Wait, hold the phone... what's going on in here?!!!

It's windy as hell here but barely any rain to go with. I would say we are getting some 60+ gusts, but sustained at maybe 35-40. At my house, we have gotten maybe 0.2 inches of rain and thats being generous.

Still have power here on Lower Bayou Blue. I would agree sustained winds are at least 35-40 if not more with gust that shake the house. It's gonna be a hell of a ride!

Everythings looking ok around my inlaws house. As soon as the winds subside a bit as the eye passes over us I am going to check on my house. I will report back with pictures.

WWL's guy that was in cocodrie last night just did a segment from chauvin behind the little caillou fire station (i built dat and it's still up!). There was some damage but it looked like stuff you'd expect (tin roof off of pavilion, flipped over fair type booth). He said "this is what people in terrebonne parish can expect to wake up to. not so much structural damage..."
fingers crossed!

Just drove around the west side of Houma. Damage is minimal. A few fences knocked over. Some power poles leaning. A few downed limbs and stop signs but not bad at all.

Now that the storm is stalled how bad is the wind and what will it do for 12 straight hours of blowing?

So I guess Houma is dry and okay?

Aside from some branches and limbs down there doesn't seem to be much if any structural damage to buildings and houses on the 311 corridor.
Just went downtown to check on a few things and things are the same down there from what I got to see.
If you have city power you have electricity. If you have SLECA it's a good bet you have it as well. Entergy customers though don't seem to have any power.
Rain and winds starting again since around 330ish but not as bad as early am today.

any updates on the water level around the north end of bayou dularge road/ICW? that's where my office is and was told we may have to work at 10am tomorrow? I was thinking the winds would be pushing the water up all night...
