I never recommend those. Since they are hardened to the structure, they pass vibrations into the ceiling/joists and are much noisier than fans installed on downrods.
I will never live with a rigid mounted ceiling fan again.

I put flush mounts in my kids room and my home office, both with 8 foot ceilings. They're actually easier to hang than one with a downrod. The bracket mounts to the box, and there is a hook on the motor to hang it up there to wire it. Then you pop it in place and screw it in, then add the blades.
This model, but mine didn't have the remote. Easy install and it is very quiet.

Certainly would...in fact, I have a ceiling fan in all rooms of my house, except the kitchen. And that, my friend, is with an 8ft ceiling.

All my ceilings are only 8 ft and every bedroom has a ceiling fan.
