Why Would a Toilet Suddenly go Dry

One of my toilets has inexplicably gone dry. I flushed it and it seems to work fine. It is holding water and there doesn’t seem to be any leakage. This bathroom is seldom used, however I like to periodically run the sink and flush the toilet to keep the p-traps full. Suddenly, I went in today and the bowl had no water at all, which has never happened.
Any idea why the suddenly went dry?

It's hot, water evaporates over time. Could be a very slow leak due to a bad seal. Happens to the toilet in my man cave that gets used maybe every other week or so.

Hopefully, this is the case….but it has never gone dry before.
I flushed last night and the bowl is still holding water this morning, though!

has it been really windy? our levels will drop when its really windy, but never dry I don't recall.

Sometimes there can be lower pressure created in your plumbing. The higher outside pressure pushes the water down and out the p-trap of your bowl.

A slow draining sewer line will do that sometimes on a toilet that's close to the end of the line. Have you noticed a tub draining slowly or anything?

This is the first toilet in line…basically where the service line to the street enters the house. I about have myself convinced that it has something to do with the vent to atmosphere on the roof.

I've heard of a similar phenomenon that the wind creates a negative pressure on your vent stack. Not sure if it's true, but I have a guest room toilet which is rarely used and once a month or so I'll use it and it will have zero water in the basin but flushes and fills with no problem.
It's not all the time, but often enough.
