you dont even have to do all of that. its simple
1) bury line coming in at 2' or lower
2) use spray foam insulation on all outside walls, even garage.
3) use pex
4) put the deep setting hose bibs
do those 4 things and nothign to worry about. I did all but the hose bibs and didnt insulate garage walls. rather spend $30 total to cover all mine than spend the extra 2 or 3k on those things. takes 5 min to install covers.
i still have to run water in the sink on the back porch but i could just go turn water off to it if i had installed a manifold, which i opted out of.
