Looking at purchasing a new lawn mower and was considering going electric. Anyone have any experience with electric mowers?

Ease of use is my main attraction to it. If I can go with all battery powered lawn mower, weed eater, and blower I am hoping the old lady might do it if I am out of town for work.

Just bought one Saturday. I went with the Ego and am very impressed.

My neighbor bought one last year and I laughed at him. Then when my gas mower went down for the 3rd time in 3 years, I borrowed his just to see what it was like.

No gas. No oil. No pull start. Just push a button and go. I decided on the Ego because of the rapid recharge. Battery recharges in 30 mins as opposed to 3 hours like the competitors. Folds up like a stroller for storage.

Only one negative is that if the grass is longer, the Ego struggles to mulch like a gas mower.

Here is the one I bought from Home Depot

The reason I'll never get one until they improve on this. I'm pretty busy and sometimes go up to 2+ weeks between mowings. No way an electric one could tackle my grass at that length. My self-propelled Honda one gets bogged down in certain spots already.

They come with small cable that you bury in your yard. T6ou can rent a machine to do it and wont even make a mark in your yard. Like a lawn sewing machine. Puts a barrier in your yard that the unit wont go outside of. The apps also let you select certain areas ot wont mow over like flower beds etc.
