Looking to eventually get our fence line covered with the stuff. Got about 80 feet of fence to try and cover. Zone 9a (Baton Rouge). I'm guessing these would be best to plant in the early spring. Not sure how much longer these temperatures are going to be out of control.

You’ll have to talk with a local as to where to get it but confederate jasmine is damn near a weed and can be planted whenever.

Give it some decent soil, a little water and you are good to go.

Anywhere that sells plants should have confederate jasmine. Very popular. You won't see it marketed that way, though, due to political correctness. You will find it listed under star jasmine. Same thing.

Yup I've heard that confederate/star jasmine are interchangeable. I've seen them for $25 each at Clegg's. Felt a little high, but I'm not too familiar with plant pricing.

It’s nice until it takes over and you have to trim it back.

I'm fine letting it take over and having to trim. We're trying to fill up some ugly fence space with the stuff.
