Back yard looks like somebody has been out there with a 9 iron taking divots. I see rabbits back there routinely but never anything else. Do rabbits dig? Armadillo perhaps?

Yup, armadillos. Those bastards have been ripping my yard up for about a month now.

I have one now. I think it's because I am one of the few on my street that watered a lot. Trying to figure out how he gets in the back yard. I've plugged the most obvious gaps.

Ok so it sounds like an armadillo. How the hell do I get rid of it?

Dillas. Are you watering your grass? They have wreaked havoc in my neighborhood this summer with the recent drought because they are in search of moist soil to find worms/grubs.

Get out in your yard and look around the foundation of your house, under bushes, around sheds, woodpiles, etc. You may have closed him in your yard trying to keep him out. Lol
Look for a big hole with a lot of dirt thrown out near the opening.

I thought of that and made a close inspection. No signs of residence. I think this one is coming from pretty far away, as the only times we have seen him/her is after 3 a.m.
