Well the stolon on the far right is centipede, and the orientation of the first 3 stolons in the photo is such that the alternate leaf arrangement is not crystal clear to me but they look so much like the fourth I think they are all centipede. Let see what the other grass gurus think.

Your guess is as good as mine. I agree with centipede on the far right but I think carpet on the left. I’d only bet a beer on it though.

ronk I think you’re right - some of the leaves blades on the first three stolons that have not been mowed have rounded, blunted tips that is characteristic of carpetgrass, and not centipede.

Thanks for all the help. I think I may not mow a portion of the yard for a week or so and see if I get the carpet grass seed heads popping up. I guess that will tell me for sure.

Indeed it will and if you want or need to eliminate the carpetgrass Celsius will kill. I seem to recall it took 2 applications about 3 weeks apart to rid myself of a couple small areas of carpetgrass I had.
