Audubon, Rucker, Rodrigue and Clementine Hunter are my favorites in a proper LA home. But LA festival prints are good too.

I have one by this gentleman
quote:and I just found out he passed away in March. I bought his painting after the flood in 2016.
Henry Neubig, the Louisiana mud painter, all his pigments are taken from the rural Louisiana soil.

we found a couple bird paintings that were from late 60's early 70's.
unrelated, did find a Thomas Kinkade limited edition print in a frame at a thrift store for 20 bucks - similar prints with higher serial numbers look to go in the mid 300's or so.

Casey Langteau is my favorite right now. Not as colorful as Becky Fos but same style. The girl can paint!

A bunch of paintings by an artist named G. Harvey that my mom likes. I am getting rid of them when she is no longer with us. I don't care anything about art.

I have a collection of Clementine Hunter paintings that are classically Louisiana beautiful.

Totally different kind of art, but we have several pieces of southern folk art by Cherokee Indian, Michael S. Ballew aka "Graywolf". One piece we have is an approximately 5' long Catfish painted on a very old looking antique piece of gray barnwood with rusted metal fins and hinges attached. I don't care for most of his art work but every once and a while I run across some really nice antique rustic looking art he makes.
