I do Simazine spray in the fall and prodiamine in the spring. I tried using prodiamine in the fall as well as a few other things but nothing controls the rescue grass like Simazine. If anyone else has that issue, give it a shot.

but God dog it's pricy upfront.
It is - but it's expensive for a reason. It's the best pre-emergent product available on the market (IMO).

I would advise using pre emergent with centipede. I know the sample size is my own yard but I saw significant root pruning with prodiamine and dimension. Maybe simizine or atrazine would be better options.
But I lost grass to winter kill every year using pre emergent. Quit using last year and didn’t lose any this year.
Just use the winter weed cocktail October-May and Celsius/Sedgehammer June-September for post emergent control.

The amount of doveweed I fought in my yard this year has made me consider this one.
