What gets rid of the picky grass?

My back yard is getting taken over and the wife and kid can’t walk barefoot because of it. What do I do?

Kill it with Fire
Diesel
Herbicide
Hand Shovel it out
Always wear shoes

or something else that is “picky”?
If lawn burweed read this article Lawn Burweed You can spray it now with Fertilome Weed-Free-Zone but going forward if you have a thick infestation you should consider applying pre-emergent herbicide in fall and winter.

Image with atrazine will nuke it. Hose end spray that’s very easy to use if you have at Augustine or centipede
