I’d like to put some down on my centipede grass to help with color and the grass to grow in spots it had died when I spot-treated weeds.

What’s the best for Baton Rouge?
I’ve had success with Scott’s and not Milogranite. Would prefer a recommendation on which Scott’s to use.

Lots of reading and info. Was just looking for a rec without soil tests and what not.

I can’t find a Scotts lawn fertilizer on Lowe’s or HD website that I would personally use.

I would suggest LESCO 15-5-15 applied at a rate 3 1/3 lbs per 1000 sq ft (1/2 lb N per 1000 sq ft) or LESCO 24-2-11 applied at 2 lbs per 1000 sq ft (also = 1/2 lb N per 1000 sq ft). Both are available at Site One Landscape Supply in the Industrialplex off Siegen (on Exchequer). They are what I use, or have used, on my centipede.

Both in the $26 to 30 per 50 lb bag range. I’d follow up with a second application in mid June.

Don’t use Scott’s on centipede. I don’t care what the label says it’s not a good choice.

I used to work for Scott’s.

Worked well in the past.
Went with Triple Action. We’ll see.

The Fertilome 15-0-15 is a good product as well - I used it for many years before I discovered Site One and the LESCO products - and I only switched because of cost. Another poster a week or so ago said he used a LESCO 15-0-15 but the Site One in BR doesn’t carry it. It’s on the Home Depot website but not available with 100 miles of BR.
