Found this in my yard yesterday.
Looks like there was some kind of scuffle and the feathered friend didn't do so well.

We do have some hawks in our area, Was odd that there were only feathers lift. didn't see any blood or body parts.

Cat's will catch them and take them off to eat them. Whomever owns the cat (if not wild), likely has a bird head on their porch.
Our cat caught a squirrel last week and left my wife a nice little prize on the porch.

Our neighbor's cat brought us a squirrel tail a few weeks ago. Usually it's a whole mouse or rat but I guess the novelty of catching a squirrel meant he wasn't as generous as usual
He is absolute murder on the rodents around here, our indoor kitties wouldn't know what to do with one anyway.

We don't own any cats but, that doesn't mean one didn't hop the fence from the outside.
