I was surfing TD while in my recliner adjacent the kitchen when I noticed I could hear an appliance running. The counter top microwave had turned itself on and was running without a time nor power setting. I can apparently only reset the clock.

After unplugging it starts right back up as soon as it’s plugged in again.

I guess it’s time for a new one, still under the 2 years warranty though.

Just another thing to give everyone another nightmare: appliances turning themselves on in the middle of the night or while out of town and causing the place to burn down.

Your monitor switch is broken. That's the middle of the three micro switches. Remove the control panel and the switch assembly is usually held on by two screws. Remove it and replace middle switch.

Thanks Nap. I certainly didn’t expect to see you chime in especially with the specific repair details with all that you are going through.

Speaking of, it’s been a couple of weeks since I saw an update on your troubles. Hope you are making progress and especially hope you are able to feel the progress in the form of feeling better. Just keep making it through one day at a time.

I'm actually fine other than going to the clinic three times a week and knee pain.
Really not that bad all considering.
