Friday afternoon and all day yesterday

Still not a fan of the plumbing. I’ll get that relocated in the future.

Next time, try to find a old chain link fence. Couple of bricks on it and drag that. Works like a charm. For bigger area, a very old bed wire box spring works great too! Did these both before.

I tied into a outlet in the bedroom on the other side of the wall.

Change out the breaker that feeds that to a GFI breaker in the breaker panel at once. If the wire is 14 ga, use a 15 amp at most. 12 ga, is good for a 20 amp breaker. Cost anywhere from $30 - $40 for a breaker, but can save a life.

That’s actually what I wanted. I asked every person that I knew and searched for weeks. I just couldn’t seem to find a piece. I definitely wasn’t going to go buy one. But I made that one out of wood and landscape timbers I already had laying around the house. I only had to buy a chain to hook to it.

Continuation of a weekend project will take place tomorrow, since I don’t have to work. My wife decided she wanted a raised bed to grow some flowers. She wants sunflowers and zinnias to attract more pollinators. And she just likes sunflowers.

I’m carefully lifting the good St Augustine out of there. I plan to go around my yard digging up the stupid dallisgrass and transplanting the St Augustine in its place.

Thanks! Yeah it's beautiful on the back side of my lawn. Closer to the house where they did most of the dirt work when the house was built, not so pretty. I transplanted some of that stuff there where the St. Aug is thin or nonexistent. I really need to aerate. But hopefully I can get the whole lawn to look like that in a couple years.

Update:

I installed 40 ft of ez flow perforated pipe with a drain near the house. Next week I will feed the drain with gutters and down spouts. This should keep water out of the crawl space.

The 40 ft of buried pipe feeds the rain garden. Should it work???

Project is still a work in progress. Need to cover the pipe better, slope the yard, add to the rain garden, and eventually sod.
