Trying to kill this stuff and looking for what to use. My weed and feed I spread every year doesn’t seem to do the trick. Figured I needed something stronger. Thanks for the help

Pic 2 is a young crabgrass I believe but could be young goosegrass. Pic 1 I’m not sure the name but I had it growing in a patch of Asian Jasmine. I mixed a light rate of round-up and sprayed it out without harming the jasmine.

Pic 1 looks like basketgrass or Japanese stiltgrass, and pic 2 looks like young crabgrass, but I’m really not sure. I’m going to suggest you send these photos to turf and weed control specialist Dr Ron Strahan with the LSU AgCenter rstrahan@agcenter.lsu.edu so he can ID the weeds for you and he’ll provide you with control options. Let him know what type of lawn grass you have as that will dictate what herbicides can be safely used on your lawn. .

First one is Japanese Silt Grass. I have it in my yard too from my neighbor’s yard. The only thing that really kills it is round up. I try and pull it before I kill a whole patch of grass. If you find something else that works let me know.
