I’ve tried to think of everything possible based on the pictures and I can’t come up with anything. Pull one from the roots and post that picture. Not a pic of the root system itself but up close of the grass. A hairy or smooth and rolled ligule might help to id it.

Is it growing in a more wet area of the yard?

the first pic looks like torpedo grass, but im not certain.

If ronk doesn’t know, and I haven’t a clue either, I recommend you send the images to Dr Ron Strahan rstrahan@agcenter.lsu.edu, turf weed extension specialist and professor, LSU AgCenter. Be sure to tell him what type of lawn grass you have if you want control options.
Let us know he says, but even he might not able to tell for certainty from your photos without a seedhead. I think the last 2 images from your last post are too blurry to be of use.

It is mostly growing in the wet parts of the yard. It is unlikely torpedo grass as I am unfortunately well versed in that weed.

I have it as well. Whatever it is. In the "wettest" part of the yard. It reminds me of young rice seedlings. It's very soft under foot and I've never seen it seed. (not to say it hasn't)

I used to have that in my old yard as well. I never figured out what it was.

Well I would prepare for 2-3 rounds of glyphosate. Then raise the area since watergrass needs lots of water. Drop some sod on top.

Dr Ron identified it for me before and I couldn’t remember the name. I have some at my house too and it’s hard to eradicate for sure

My app says it’s
quote:
Rice cutgrass is a hardy grass that thrives in full sun and wet soil. It can form dense thickets. The edges of the leaves can be very sharp and may cause cuts from walking through clumps of this grass, giving it the name, cutgrass.
